I used Pick My Solar to get quotes and find an installer for my solar array in Massachusetts. PMS did a teriffic job. My main point of contact, Will, was responsive, provided good advice, and took the time to educate me. In the end I chose a solar installer (Sunlight Solar) who did an excellent job on a complicated install and I am very happy with the results.

The whole process was well presented. Pick My Solar designed the solar panel system we needed for Swiss Family Farmhouse with installation on our barn. They made sure that the three bids we received were on the same design and materials. They had vetted the contractors and we were extremely pleased with the bid and installer we picked. Pick My Solar helped us get the information needed for our federal tax rebate, a Dept. of Agriculture grant that our farm qualified for, and helped us understand the payback from our power company. My husband is very analytical, and the Pick My Solar reps always welcomed any questions we had and fully explained all the details. They were communicative and responsive. We hooked up on Dec. 23, 2016. And in February 2017 our electric bill was reduced by 53%! We were amazed! It was one of the rainiest, hence cloudiest, Februaries on record in the Pacific Northwest! March had a 56% reduction, THEN the next 6 months our bill has been reduced by over 90% every month! We signed the contract with complete confidence and love to recommend Pick My Solar to everyone!

We had a really great experience with this service a couple of years ago. Initially, they designed a solar roof system for us that incorporated our specific requirements and roof details. Then, they put it out to bid. We received 4 or 5 bids, and they helped us go over the bids to find the best one. Because we have metal shingles, one bid that was significantly cheaper was from a company that used to install metal shingles. The companies that bid on our project were ones that we wouldn’t have known about, but all were quite experienced and up to the task. The company we ended up signing a contract with ended up doing a great job, and has supported us well. Overall, Pick My Solar made the whole decision process easier for us, and allowed us to make a fairer decision. I’d recommend them to anyone who’s thinking about solar.

I was very pleased with the Pick My Solar crew, specifically Rex. The information provided by Pick My Solar was instrumental in my decision with which contractor to use. Pick My Solar saved me a lot of time and hassle having to deal with different contractors/sales people. They were friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to explain about solar systems in easy to understand terms. I have no regrets in my decision to go with solar and I highly recommend Pick My Solar to all my friends.

I love Pick My Solar! They have developed a handy online hub to help homeowners like me go solar. Their site provides an online education with a simple, user-friendly registration process that creates projects for certified, vetted solar panel installers to place bids on, delivering multiple competitive bids and making the whole process easy on homeowners. Their customer service is excellent too! Thank you and I cannot highly recommend them enough!

Ray RussellWe were first approached by a neighborhood canvasing group for a solar company. In my opinion they were not honest. They were pushy, and lied about the need for a social security number to relieve liabiltiy for one of their technicians to climb on the roof. We unwittingly believed them, and a few days later we received loan application paperwork in the mail, and they wanted to start work right away. Fortunately, I did some searching on the internet, and found Pick My Solar and Madeline Merritt. She was knowledgeable in our needs, listened to our questions, and provided several quotes for a system that was right for us. In fact they have a best price match which was applied to our project. Their program practically did all the work for us, as far as researching the right system, placement of panels and filing the necessary documents with the county and LADWP. We are very satisfied with the effort and work Madeline did for us.

We had been wanting to "go solar" for a number of years, but were turned off by sales people from various solar companies who were pushy or just not crediblet about their system vs others. Along came Will from PickMySolar who explained that he is a steward to find us the most reasonable bids for our project based on our electric bills and he vetted those bids and taught us relevant facts that helped us make our ultimate purchase with confidence that we had a reliable company with excellent quality and reasonable prices. We recommend them whole heartedy!

A totally pleasant experience, by explaining the different bid proposals and how each would effect the cost vs performance and what would meet our expectations. The selected contractor was right on schedule and did a beautiful job completing in one day. We're now producing more electric most days than we use!

Will is simply the Best!!!All phone calls and emails where always returned so quickly. All my concerns were explained and taken care of. Sadly when I misplaced documents Will was always there for me, sending duplicates and always making me feel comfortable. Working with Will was the highlight of my solar experience.

On time, professional and extremely courteous!Absolutely no hidden fees. As a mater of fact, our installed system was huge and there were modifications that had to be made. They stuck by their original labor quote even though they could have hit us up for extra time and materials. This isn't my first experience with having solar installed but by far the best!

Great working with Pick My Solar. My husband and I have wanted to go solar for some time, but we were concerned about picking the wrong vendor and being sure we were getting a good product. It was perfect when our utility company recommended that we work through Pick My Solar, our agent Chris Voight helped us every step of the way. Answered all our questions and was always available to help. They helped us pick the best installer and best product to meet our needs. Our solar system is live and we are thrilled. Referred in from a friend: Pick my Solar did a decent job on the front end of the project, and an excellent job on the tail end. There was some confusion as there was a personnel shift early on but once we got past that and got the new folks spun up to speed on what we were looking for things went pretty smoothy.I do recommend checking your paperwork very carefully, I found an error that could have been quite expensive. But, I believe it was an honest mistake. Our install was a tricky tight space, with lots of shade to avoid and multiple surfaces, that also needed roofing done. We were able to get 14 panels in, have been seeing good production and both the roofing and the solar install were both aesthetically and functionally completed to the highest standards.

I worked with Justin was just great. He was knowledgeable, accessible and patient. In the end I am using another company mostly because Pick My Solar was a late bidder and although they did price match I had been working a couple of other companies longer. I would highly recommend working with Justin.

I worked with Madeline - she was great. I would recommend anyone seriously considering going solar, and who is ready to receive bids to start with Pick My Solar. (Ultimately I did not select a Pick My Solar offer to me - but their process is the most helpful and easiest to deal with, of all the research/work I did on my own).Pick My Solar is a very good site. They are middlemen yes, and will make a profit from you (and the install company) if you go through them. But if you want a one-stop place that can handle it all for you and who will work on your side and get you several good offers to compare/select: Pick My Solar is for you. I liked them very much: they are knowledgeable and have good connections. They will get you good offers, BUT if you use them as a starting point, you should be able to get a BEST offer yourself (that they will then price match anyway - or at least come sorta close).So start with Pick My Solar. Have them get several bids for you - as they ask questions about your needs be honest with them. They really are good listeners and want you to get the best system they can design. And as I say above, if you are not a hands on consumer or in a hurry or not wanting to be bothered with details that you have to wade through, Pick My Solar will take that worry out of the equation - and do very well for you.Here is where Pick My Solar and I went separate ways on my solar system: once I got several bids from Pick My Solar (they will show you three), I contacted the best solar installers in my area (do googles search and find 5 companies that consistently get 5 star reviews in your area. Call each of them and talk to them - they will each have on staff salespeople. Have them draw up proposals for you. Once you have those proposals in hand, compare them to the Pick My Solar bids. And then tell one or two of those companies, that "hey, look, Pick My Solar did this design for this (X) price..if you can give me the same wattage and basically match their design/system for 10-15% less, I will sign a contract with you." Those companies will come down in price I guarantee it (so long as you seem serious about purchasing a system). Once you have that company's final bid, ask Pick My Solar to match it: you will find that their three final best offers which they told you were their final best offers - were not indeed their best! They will match (almost...close but not quite) the direct offers you received from each company (but from a different installer - one they often work with locally). So yes you are using Pick My Solar against the best companies in your area, and then the local offers to get Pick My Solar to price match...If you are uncomfortable negotiating like this - don't do it. But you should know that each of these companies will try and get $2,000-3,000 (at least) from you, that you could get them to come down on if you play one off against the other. Why should they get your money and not you?

They take the guesswork out of the process and provide all of the necessary information to get started: design requirements, system equipment and installer cost calculations, and obtaining a final contract. You don't have to pay anything to get a system custom designed for your power usage and home location, including several quotes for the complete job. I was surprised to learn that a solar installation at my house was a lot less expensive than I had assumed, even before accounting for the federal tax rebate. It feels great to know that my home system is putting solar energy onto the grid and that I will get credit for the energy. Thank you Pick My Solar for making it easy and affordable to convert my home to solar power.

If you want to go solar this is the company you need to help you select from the zillion solar contractors out there. Madeline Merritt was my advisor and she is the best. Professional and knowledgeable and will not let you down. She is the best person I could have gotten. Believe me, it is a maze out there. One contractor was cheaper, but it turned out was supplying me with obsolete solar panels, which I didn't know about until Madeline pointed it out. I researched it, and she was correct!!! Saved me a bundle. Go to "Pick My Solar" and ask to work with Madeline Merritt. You won't be sorry. System works perfectly.

I used Electrum as a 3rd party for handling my solar project. JD was my assigned representative, and he was great! Not only did all my solar questions finally get answered but everything was clear and straight forward. The folks that come by my neighborhood door to door offering solar could never answer those questions before. Loved my experience and would recommend it to anyone.
